The Venue
How many guests can Melrose Abbey hold?

We recommend limiting invites to 200 guests to leave room for a dance floor and ample space. Our venue comfortably accommodates up to 200 seated guests.

Does Melrose Abbey have onsite parking?

There is ample street parking within 1 block of the venue. We also have a nearby private parking lot available for rental should you desire.

Is Melrose Abbey ADA compliant?

Yes! Our facility is fully ADA compliant with a chair lift between both event floors and street level. One of our hotel suites is on the main level and designed for ADA accommodation.

Does Melrose Abbey have wifi?

Yes, we have wifi available! Reach out to your venue contact while onsite for access.

The Experience
How many hours do I get for my event?

Wedding rentals have access from 9am–11pm CST, which includes setup time. Additional hours are handled case by case based on availability.

Can I use any vendors I like?

Yes! You may bring in any vendors you choose. They must be approved by our staff, and caterers must be licensed and insured with documents on file. We also offer a robust preferred vendor list.

What is your alcohol policy?

If you'd like to serve alcohol at your event, you must use one of Melrose Abbey's bar packages. Please inquire for current package options.

Do you provide tables and chairs?

Yes — enough tables for 200 seated guests plus extras for DJ, cake table, buffet, etc. We have 200 gold chiavari chairs available. We handle all setup and teardown.

Getting Ready
Does Melrose Abbey offer lodging onsite?

Yes! We have 4 luxury hotel suites accommodating up to 24 overnight guests. Countless hotels are also just minutes away for additional guests.

Do you provide linens and tableware?

Melrose Abbey does not provide tableware or place settings (typically provided by your caterer). We handle all glassware for bar service and offer high-end scuba linens & napkins through our partner Shinneman & Co.

Am I able to have my rehearsal there?

All wedding bookings receive 1 complimentary rehearsal hour. You may inquire about full venue availability at your final walkthrough (30–45 days before your event).

Planning & Logistics
Does Melrose Abbey require a Wedding Coordinator?

Yes, we require a professional wedding planner or day-of coordinator for all weddings. Planners must be insured and provide a COI naming Melrose Abbey as additionally insured. We have several in-house recommendations offering discounted rates.

How do I reserve Melrose Abbey?

To reserve your date, you'll fill out a contract and make a 50% down payment of the rental fee. Bookings are done online after a tour. We accept credit card, bank draft, cash, check, or money order.

Does Melrose Abbey require a damage deposit?

In lieu of a damage deposit, all events are required to purchase event insurance via our partner Event Helper. Policies are usually less than $150 depending on guest count.

What are the clean-up requirements?

We take care of all cleaning — it's included in your venue rental. We also handle full teardown and all trash service.
